November 2011

Dear Journalism Faculty,

I hope everyone enjoyed reading our first newsletter and that everyone's semester is going well. As the school year steams ahead I would like to remind you that the University Libraries are here for any of your research and/or instructional support needs. We are always collecting books for your areas of study, a list of which can be seen here http://library.sc.edu/newbooks/ or by searching the library catalog for appropriate keywords and subject terms. We also recently added a subscription to the Journal of Advertising Education as per faculty request which will be available in print.

Remember to keep sending in your material requests to help us to continually strengthen our collection in the areas of journalism, advertising, public relations, and visual communications.  We are also interested in your thoughts on ebooks in the collection -- see the poll in the "Talk to us..." section.  Our goal is to provide a collection that meets your needs for teaching and research. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Brent Appling
