September 2011
Greetings one and all!
My name is Virginia Weathers and I am the new library liaison to the College of Engineering and Computing. I hope to make you and your students the most library literate group on campus if you aren't already. The library is constantly improving, and it is hard to keep up. That's where I come in. This newsletter and my emails are attempts to keep you informed.
Please do not hesitate to call me if you have questions about the library. In the meantime, check our new website http://library.sc.edu and our LibGuides for your area http://guides.library.sc.edu. I have inherited the guides, and I would like to know what you think will make them more helpful. I can see from the statistics that Computing and Biomedical Engineering are heavy users, while other CEC areas are not using them very much.
Andrea Jarratt, your former liaison, is still with us and will assist me this academic year. I look forward to working with you and your students.
Best wishes for a great fall semester,
Virginia Weathers
