Greetings!

Fall is finally here and that means lot's of holidays and family get togethers. Our pets are a very special part of our families and we have to remember to make their holidays safe and enjoyable too! Even though we are excited to see relatives we haven't seen in a long time, keep in mind they could be complete strangers to your pet! If you have out of town family/guests staying with you, try to introduce them to your pet so they won't feel nervous around them. Introducing your house guests to your pets quirks, likes and dislikes would also help everyone have a better visit. If you are traveling out of town, remember to go and check out your pets sitter or boarding facility ahead of time to ensure that your pet will be comfortable with where and whom they will be staying with. We at Cornerstone Animal Hospital wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE
 JUST A REMINDER
Holiday food No No's for pets....
Avoid chocolates, "left over" bones etc as these could render an unwanted visit to the emergency clinic!
A Sweet Thank You note to Reagan and our technician Gay!
Rosie came to Cornerstone in a very bad situation, with her owner concerned that she was coughing up blood. After an exam, and a test, it was found that she must have ingested rat poison. Posie found herself in a bad situation with her chances of survival depending upon a blood transfusion. Our very own technician Gay has a female Great Dane named Reagan who often helps out with these types of cases. Posie's parents agreed to the transfusion, and there was no time wasted in getting our furry "employee" to work to help out. After 3 hours of  blood transfusing, Posie showed immediate results! She was up and about, barking and her gums were pink as can be! Posie's bloodwork all showed immense improvement and she was sent home later that night. The next day, she was still doing great and on her way to a full recovery. All of us here at Cornerstone were so pleased to have this happy outcome for such a precious pet!
