As the end of the year approaches I want take the time to tell you 10 things the Chamber accomplished in 2011:

1. Awarded six scholarships to local high school seniors

2. Hosted a mayoral candidate forum

3. Sponsored the Montgomery County Economic   Development Corporation Summit

4.  Held 11 membership meetings with a variety of programs and guest speakers

5. Hosted three business after hours networking events

6. Supported The 3/50 Project, shop local program

7. Created Chamber Buck$ to keep money flowing throughout the local economy

8. Presented seven awards to Chamber Businesses and community members

9. Coordinated downtown events such as the Summer Concert Series, Golden Grille Competition and A Red Ribbon Christmas

10.  Gained 28 new members

All Chamber After HoursNetworking
Networking with a TWIST!        
        

Please join The Magnuson Grand Hotel & Conference Center, along with the Litchfield and Carlinville Chambers for the first ever All-Chamber After Hours event. 

  

This ultimate business networking experience will take place on Thursday, January 19 at the Magnuson Grand Hotel in Raymond. All three participating Chambers will invite their Chamber members to fill the banquet room with guests from all corners of the county.  Participants will not only have the chance to mix and mingle, but will have the opportunity to reach small and large companies, meet new clients and combine business networking with social fun. 

  

Social hour begins at 5:30  P.M. to 6:30 P.M. with Hors D'oeuvres followed with a dinner buffet along with dessert.

Farmers Market looking for new leadership

Illinois Where Fresh is 

 

Due to an abundance of activity going on with the Chamber, the Chamber will no longer be in control of the farmers market. The Chamber is looking for an organization or group to take control of the market.   This is a great opportunity for a volunteer or group of volunteers who are passionate about farmers markets or locally grown produce to coordinate and make the Hillsboro market thrive! Anyone interested can contact the Chamber office for more information. 532-3711.

PAWS Care
2nd Annual Paws Care Trivia Night! 

Saturday, March 31st.
Litchfield Community Center,
1100 South State Street  

Doors Open at 6pm, play starts at 7pm. The $10/person entry fee includes 2 soft drinks. Teams will consist of 6-8players.  In addition to trivia, a silent auction, 50/50, and mini-games between rounds. You may bring your own snacks, treats etc.
