Dear  ,

It is an honor and a privilege to introduce myself as the new Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce President. I want to start off by thanking our outgoing President, Gene White, for his years of service to the Chamber and the community at large, as well as thank all of our past Presidents for their help through out the years. I also want to thank the Board of Directors and membership for their support. I am very grateful for the faith you have placed in me.  I am very excited for the future and look forward to working with everyone to make our Chamber the best it can be.

I look forward to sharing a thought or two with you each month, and this month I want to kick things off by reminding everyone that Election Day is fast approaching and to ask that you please take the time to vote.  Countless men and woman have sacrificed to defend our Republic and to ensure that we have the right to cast our ballot.  Many people only show up to the polls for national elections, but local elections shape the world we live in each day and can have the most direct effect on our lives, communities and businesses. So please exercise one of your most precious rights and VOTE April 5!

Until next month,

Terri's Signature
Terri Miller, President
Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce

Hillsboro Area Hospital Announces Junior Board

CALLING ALL LEADERS.....

In response to the feedback received from the community at the Visioning Session, Hillsboro Area Hospital is developing key initiatives to reach and engage the youth of Hillsboro and the surrounding communities, to promote cross-generational interaction and leadership opportunities at the Hospital.  One of these initiatives is the introduction of the HAH Junior Board.

The Junior Board is a new leadership group for young people between 9-17 years of age.  The group will meet quarterly to plan fun-filled special events.  The goal is to provide fun & unique volunteer opportunities at the Hospital that will attract and retain young people.  We hope this initiative will help to strengthen the community by tapping into youth leadership skills and learning about their thoughts on a future in Hillsboro.

We hope that you will help us spread the word about this unique opportunity.  For more information go to www/hillsboroareahospital.org/juniorboard.php or call
Fusion Fitness & Aquatics at 532-3896.

The kick-off meeting is Saturday, March 19th, between 10:30-11:45 at the Education Center on the Hillsboro Area Hospital Campus.  We are hoping to draw a group of youth interested in learning more.  Thank you in advance for sharing this opportunity with others in the community that may take an interest in helping us promote and attract young people to the meeting.
