Dear ,
With the closure of the Farmer's Market and now that Halloween is behind us, we march into November. If you missed the Spooktacular Business After Hours at the Church Street Pub, you missed some delicious food, good fellowship and the opportunity to network with other business professionals. Thank you to The Journal-News and Journal Printing for sponsoring the event and to the Church Street Pub for going above and beyond with the wonderful appetizers.
There are many events to look forward to this month, the Schlafly Beer Parings Dinner at the Church Street Pub, the Thanksgiving Holiday, and the annual Christmas Kick-off celebration. November 12th is the Schlafly Dinner. If you have not had an opportunity to purchase your tickets, time is of the essence. We only have five tickets left. If you are not interested in the dinner but would like to help with the silent auction, or help staff the event, your help would be greatly appreciated. Contact Lesley at the Chamber office as soon as possible. We have received several gift baskets to auction off. If you would like to donate a gift basket or give a monetary gift toward a basket, please contact the Chamber office.
The community Christmas Kick-off celebration is set for November 20th. This is coordinated by the 2000 and Beyond committee. The committee is still in need of donations to help pay for the downtown Christmas lighting. By now you should have received a solicitation from the committee, please consider helping in any way that you can.
I hope to see you at the next monthly membership meeting November 19 at 12:00 noon at the Douglas-Telfer Outpatient Clinic. Have a good Happy Thanksgiving!

Gene White, President Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce
