Dear ,
Well here we are in September
already. The last "Summer Fling" is Labor Day weekend, I hope
you have a safe and enjoyable holiday. Our major event this month will
be the annual Business & Industry Awards dinner on September 16th at the Moose Lodge. We need
your support, so please mark your calendars and plan on attending. Tickets are available at the Chamber office as well as various locations around town. Please read below for more information.
Also,
there is still a need for volunteers to help with the farmer's market on
Thursdays through October. Lesley has the sign-up sheet and still has several dates to fill. Contact her if you would like to help.
Although this is a couple of
months away, please save-the-date for November 12th for the next major fund raiser for the
Chamber. We are hosting a four course meal at the Church Street Pub paired
with different seasonal Schlafly beers. There will be a Schlafly representative on
hand to describe and educate the attendees on each of the different types of beers. If you have ever attended a
wine dinner, this will offer an interesting and a close parallel to that
concept. The evening will also feature a silent auction and we are still in the search
of auction items. Contact Lesley if you can donate an item or to sponsor a
gift basket.
I hope to see you at our next regular membership meeting on Friday, September 17th, 12:00 noon downstairs at the Moose Lodge.

Gene White, President Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce
