What's Up?
Blackberries, Cherry Tomatoes, Green, Purple and Red Noodle Beans, and more!
Summertime and the nibbling is easy! Homegrown Mini-Golf has so many taste delights right now, we don't know where to start. The sweet cherry tomatoes in red, yellow, orange and purple? The gigantic blackberries as big as your thumb? Or the pole beans that come in amazing purples and reds as well as greens? Plus there's the popular stevia plant in the herb garden--it is so sweet, you just won't believe your tongue. If you eat a leaf along with a peppermint or spearmint leaf, growing just beside, it tastes like a mint lifesaver--really!

Edible Hudson Valley
The current issue of Edible Hudson Valley has a terrific one-page article on Homegrown Mini-Golf by Daniel Combs, who visited our links last Spring. We're so pleased, since we've been fans of the magazine since we first started spotting it last year.
Black Hole News
Emilia and I are finally finishing up work on our 10th hole, and it's just awesome! Now, when your ball spins down the down to be lost to the geese, it careens back and forth through a zig-zag of channels. Whoo-hoo! Now to protect the business end from the seemingly irresistable urges kids have to drop gravel down the holes!
The ball careens down the chutes and winds up by the goose barn. Very exciting.

Our Little Gnome Update
Thanks so much for your feedback, support and ideas regarding our world record status. We've composed a killer press release that is going out soon. I had so much fun making images of your ideas to "grow" Chomsky. After we let the media have an "exclusive" for a while, I'll send it out to our general list.
NEMF's Major Mushroom Foray
Several hundred mushroom geeks from all over the Northeast will be gathering in Kerhonkson September 23 to 25 for an annual mushroom hunt and convention. It's NEMF Logosponsored by the Northeast Mycological Federation and will be held at the beautiful and exotic Soyuzivka Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Center. Hunters will fan out at many sites around the area and bring back as many specimens as possible, along with information about their locations (taking mushrooms doesn't hurt the organism, they're like apples on a tree).

The mushrooms will be sorted, identified and catalogued by expert professional and amateur mycologists. Saturday night there's a legendary mushroom dinner. You don't need to be an expert to come, just to be interested in mushrooms, game for some legwork, and to register in advance at the NEMF website for whatever parts you want to participate in. It's really fun and interesting, not to mention delicious!

Be sure to come play a round while the mini-golf
gardens a peaking--it's just amazing this year.

Plus Kelder's has the best, most tender corn in
the Rondout Valley--it's a special variety that
must be hand-picked, the big farms can't grow it.
It's so great, we even feature it on
tattoos and t-shirts!

Happy putting!
