Event Tasting Tour of Edible Landscaping For Kids and Grown-Ups |
Kerhonkson, NY Homegrown Mini-Golf at Kelder's Farm is a 10 hole putting green set in a landscaped garden of edible plants. This year for the first time, we're offering tasting tours of the garden, Saturdays at 2:00 pm, June 5, June 12,
and June 19, weather permitting. Admission $5, includes a game of
miniature golf.
It's official--edible landscaping is a hot green trend! At Homegrown Mini-Golf, we've been developing our edible gardens for four years now, and they're looking beautiful. There's
always lots of fruit, vegetables, herbs and even flowers and wild plants to taste, some
familiar and some unusual.
Homegrown Mini-Golf designer Maria Reidelbach will lead a tour that will feature what foods look
like while they're still growing, and how different they taste when
they're truly fresh-picked. She'll share interesting science, lore, and
cooking tips. This is a fun activity for adults and kids, very sensual, playful and delicious.
And for those whose appetites are whetted for more, there's real pick-your-own acreage on the adjoining Kelder's Farm.
