RURAL PUBLIC HEALTH AGENDA | |
Rural health policy makers and researchers are looking for your input on the most important health issues facing rural residents. Rural Healthy People 2020 is designed to identify what rural stakeholders see as the most significant preventable threats to the health of rural people, identifying existing rural models for practice that address these threats, and to establish goals for reducing these threats.
The starting point for this conversation is an online survey at http://edu.surveygizmo.com/s3/807374/Rural-Health-People-2020. You are invited to take the survey and forward this link to people in your own networks so Massachusetts can be represented. The survey link will be open through August 31, 2012 and will take 5-10 minutes to complete and does not require professional background in health issues.
Contact Dr. Jane Bolin at jbolin@srph.ltamhsc.edu or Dr. Gail Bellamy at gail.bellamy@med.fsu.edu with questions. This message is forwarded from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.

Samaritans has expanded the number of sites on the Cape & Islands for their survivor support groups including Falmouth, Hyannis and Nantucket. These groups honor and respect the needs of the survivors, provide unconditional emotional support, help survivors gain courage and comfort from one another, and deal with a unique grief that is often not understood by others.
