The December 9th Public Hearing to approve the cost
affordable 2035 Transportation Plan is rapidly approaching, and we're well
into the official 30-day public comment period that precedes it. We're continuing
to work closely with you and our planning partners to collect comments
on the Draft Cost Affordable 2035 Transportation Plan.
Last Tuesday, November 10th, we held our first
Town Call meeting. Moderator Jack
Harris was joined on the panel discussion by our MPO Chair, Temple Terrace
Mayor Joe Affronti, Sr., Tampa City Councilman John Dingfelder, and MPO
Executive Director Ray Chiaramonte.
More than 3,800 people participated in the Town Call meeting! Polling questions were asked during the
call. Question 3 results (below),
asked near the end of the call, show that 65% of the respondents are in favor
of the direction of the draft plan.

Our goal is to provide you with as much information about
the plan and as many opportunities to weigh in on the plan as
possible. Here are some things you can do now:

Hillsborough County Commissioner Mark Sharpe and Plant City City Manager Greg
Horwedel on November 19th.
40,000 registered voters in Plant City and unincorporated Hillsborough
County will be called and invited to join at 7:00 p.m. If you are not called directly and wish
to join in, please call in toll-free at 1-877-229-8493. The ID code to connect to the
teleconference is 15177, followed by the pound (#) key. If it's busy, keep trying. We'll be live for an hour.
