Happy Holidays!
Another year is coming to an end and the holidays are upon us. This year was one of the most challenging years in recent history for conservation organizations. We are extremely thankful to our board members, staff, funders, project partners and colleagues who continue to believe in us and help us pursue our mission. To them, and all our water-loving friends, we extend warm holiday wishes.
In this e-mail dispatch, we want to take the opportunity to introduce NHI's new Board Chairman and the inaugural members of our new Affiliates Program. In January, we will resume our bi-monthly newsletter with fresh updates on project activities and achievements, more NHI profiles, and our exciting plans for 2010.
Thank you for reading and Happy Holidays!

Welcome to the NHI Affiliates Program!
In October, we initiated the Affiliates Program to systematize our longstanding practice of drawing upon external experts to supplement resident staff and board members on our project teams. It assures that we can always field state of the art expertise tailored to the specific and unique needs of each project, and it assures that we are never capacity-limited in undertaking cutting edge and transformational projects. We also will routinely involve Affiliates in designing new project concepts. Currently, we have nine members and more will be invited on an on-going basis. The exceptional skill and experience of our Affiliates is apparent from their professional biographies, which can be reviewed on our website. Read more >>
