USGS stream gage monitors defunded

Stream gauges that can help warn communities about imminent flooding could soon be shut down in Vermont and northern New York.
Greg Hanson with the National Weather Service uses river gauges daily to forecast flooding and monitor water flow into Lake Champlain. He worries about the fallout if these sites are closed. We can't do our job if these river gauges go away. Read more...
