A Solution to your Design Challenges

Contact CSS for all your custom ASIC needs

Are you facing challenges trying to meet the performance or design specifications of your electronic system?  Many times, a Mixed-Signal Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) can provide a cost-effective solution to your problem by optimizing a particular specification which otherwise could not be done with standard off-the-shelf IC products.

For example, an optimized ASIC can provide a significant reduction in system power consumption when compared to other off-the-shelf products. This optimized ASIC can often times be the difference between design success and failure. At CSS, we specialize in utilizing proven design techniques that result in efficient, low-power ASIC solutions.

Or perhaps you need a tight specification for an analog voltage setting that would typically require trimming of each system at the time of assembly.  At CSS, we have the ability to trim analog voltages to custom specifications at initial test of the ASIC and store the settings in EEPROM. This eliminates the need for any trimming that may typically be required during the assembly and test of your system.

If you are facing challenges due to the physical size of a system that is using off-the-shelf IC's, a Mixed-Signal ASIC can combine the functionality of your multi-IC solution into one package resulting in a much smaller footprint. At CSS we can also package your ASIC into a leadframe that is not much bigger than the die itself.

Many times, designers are concerned that the cost of designing and fabricating an ASIC is too high to justify the advantages. At CSS, we are able to utilize techniques and processes that can reduce Non-recurring Engineering (NRE) tooling costs, especially on lower volume
projects. Additionally, something that is frequently overlooked is the recurring unit cost savings of an ASIC can often times allow you to recover your NRE outlay in about 1-2 years, depending on your annual volume requirements.

Custom Silicon Solutions is offering a complimentary assessment of your electronic system to assist you in solving your design challenges. There is absolutely no obligation and therefore you have nothing to lose by finding out if a Mixed-Signal ASIC would be the right solution for your application.
