June 2011 - Vol. 8, ISS. 2

Greetings! It's June and although the weather's indecisive behaviour continues it's time for the Spring Newsletter here at AboutFace!

Since our inception 25 years ago, volunteers have been a pillar of our success. In this issue, we honour those who have given so much.

At our UnMasked Event in March, we recognized two individuals with 2011 Betty Bednar Community Service Award and Dr. Richard Ten Cate Professional Service Award: Ms. Amanda Lizon and Dr. John O'Keefe for their dedication to AboutFace, respectively.

Keeping in the spirit of honouring our Volunteers, we decided to ask our members about their volunteer successes outside of AboutFace. Greg Markham had the unique opportunity to take part in "Global Prospectives" a program where he travelled to South Africa. Find out about his journey and what it entailed.
