New Data from U.S. Department of Education Show Continuing Disparities

Save Our Schools March and Rally in D.C. - Saturday, July 30, 2011 Thousands of educators, parent activists, and others are expected to convene on Saturday, July 30, in Washington, D.C. for a march and rally protesting education policy in the United States. Learn more . . . Jonathan Kozol, a tireless advocate for civil rights in education for the past five decades, will be marching along with a host of others. Read a recent interview with Kozol that tells why he plans to participate. COMMUNITY EDUCATION Given the current economic situation and the fact that school resources are dwindling, communities and parents need to become more educated on how to help our children not only survive this crisis but have good educational outcomes.
The AACLD is preparing to offer a new series of community and parent advocacy trainings. At the same time, we will continue to keep our members abreast of any other free trainings and resources that become available. One such training is listed below:
