Directors' Notes
Dear Friends and Neighbors, The pool season is drawing to an end and the smell of chili and football is in the air as Fall is quickly approaching. It was nice to have some familiar faces back this year with us at the pool , which I am sure most of you were happy to see . The beginning of pool season started off with a few bumps with the new gate system however, I think we can chalk it up to an overall success!! Thank you to Chris Frasier, all the lifeguards and Pool Professionals for their amazing job this year and helping make it a GREAT pool season. The board has worked hard in the past year to be cautious of spending due to the economy, but some changes and improvements must happen. Over the next few months, you will see some of those changes. The pool is due to be resurfaced. We will drain and resurface the pool and have a sparkly clean one for next season. The board is also looking into some additional improvements to help make the pool more cost effective in the future. We hope that everyone had a nice summer but are ready to move forward to cooler weather, fall activities/holidays and FOOTBALL!!! Happy Fall!!!!! RECREATION NEWS
WOW!!! What a great few months in has been in Arbor Creek. The 4th of July party was a HUGE success and fun was had by all. The addition of the 24' waterslide is one that kept kids, and adults, entertained all day. A special thanks to DJ John for keeping the tunes flowing and everyone moving throughout the day. Also, a special thank you to all the MANY volunteers that help set-up, keep the day going and clean-up. We could not have done it without all of you. August started off with the annual Adult Luau. For the first time, live music was provided and everyone enjoyed the sounds of Sons of Babylon. Great food, volleyball and good friends made for a great evening. As the fall approaches, many activities are planned for the whole family. We hope to see you all come out and enjoy the great events. |

Quote of the Month
"A few days ago I walked along the edge of the lake and was treated to the crunch and rustle of leaves with each step I made. The acoustics of this season are different and all sounds, no matter how hushed, are as crisp as autumn air." - Eric Sloane | |
