Please feel free to forward "Marvelous Mondays" to others who will enjoy it.

LABOR AND LOVE

This week I invite you to consider Labor Day. We can be grateful for those who contribute their efforts and labor for our food, health, home and lifestyle. Have gratitude for the work that you and others do each day.

The hand has approximately 27 bones, 17 mobile joints, and 40 muscles. Your hands have the ability to grasp, hold, receive, give, take an oath, and play instruments. They can be the eyes to the blind and the ears to the deaf. They are able to feel texture, dimension, and weight. Our hands are used to write poetry and create art and a multitude of other tasks.

EXERCISE

What positive difference can you make with your hands today?

Creativity can be expressed by your hands. What creative endeavor are you doing?

On this Labor Day what constructive project are you doing?

"I believe in the dignity of labor,

whether with head or hand;

that the world owes no man a living but

that it owes every man

an opportunity to make a living."
