1. We are constantly given choices and options. We tend to look at the short term versus the long term consequences of our decisions. When we select a self-destructive option, the Dali says it's usually done to avoid having to say "no" to something or to someone, which then creates a conflict in our psyche. Instead, the Dali says we can ask ourselves the ultimate question, "does it move me towards happiness?" By framing the question that way, we shift the focus away from the negative and instead move it toward our ultimate happiness.
2. The Dali describes happiness as something that is stable and persistent. I repeat STABLE and PERSISTENT. Does my decision bring me peace, contentment, calm, compassion?
3. SEM TRAINING. So now it's easier to make the right decision. We are not giving up anything. Instead we are bringing happiness to ourselves. We are GIVING IN TO OUR HAPPINESS and practicing SEM Training.
4. Decisions. As we gain this state of happiness, we must deal with decisions in our life, such as whether to retire, to go back to school, to change careers, to move into or out of a relationship, to marry, to have children, to have surgery, to buy or sell a house, to buy or sell a business, to confront someone in a crucial conversation, etc.
