OUR NEGATIVE THOUGHTS PRODUCE NEGATIVE ENERGY |
It is well established that our negative thoughts create negative energy. We've all experienced it. It could be a conversation when we don't like what is being said, or in a lecture when we find it hard to pay attention, or listening to a long speech.
|
OUR POSITIVE THOUGHTS CREATE POSITIVE ENERGY |
Here's an example of positive thoughts creating positive energy. We are so tired that we don't feel enthused about our good friends coming over for dinner and we would prefer to just get a book and go to bed. But when our friends come over, the conversation is so stimulating that we get energetic and have a great evening.

RAMPAGE OF GRATITUDE - THE NEW ENERGY GAME |
I learned about this Rampage of Gratitude from some of Esther Hicks' teachings called "Abraham Hicks Teaching". Esther describes positive thoughts and energy as "SOURCE ENERGY".
HOW IS THE GAME PLAYED?
Here's an easy example. You go to the post office and find a long line. You are frustrated because you've got a packed schedule that day. If you let your thoughts become negative, your energy level goes down. Instead go on a RAMPAGE and say the following to yourself while you're in line:
- "The temperature is just right and I'm glad I'm in a comfortable place."
- "I wonder what's in the packages the people are sending. Maybe it's cookies or other gifts. My, aren't people thoughtful."
- "And look at that young mother holding her baby in the line. The baby and mother look so content."
You get the idea. Your rampage of gratitude gives you positive thoughts and energy. |
EXERCISE |
Of course you already knew your exercise for this week. You'll have plenty of opportunities to practice: the grocery line, the bank line, the stalled traffic, the home serviceman who's late; the lengthy sermon, the concession line or the restroom line at the football game.
I know you'll be creative and enjoy this exercise which can become your discipline. Don't be surprised if your positive energy is contagious. I'll love to hear your experience of your RAMPAGE.

Our grandmothers said...
"If you can't say something nice about someone, don't say anything at all."
I now add to that...
"If you can't say something nice ("positive energy") to yourself, don't say anything at all." | | |
