BREAKTHROUGH
|
| Do you limit yourself by underestimating your capacity? Do you want to stay in your comfort zone? Of course we all tend to do that. Is there something you want to step up to but instead you step on the brakes. You can't have a breakthrough with your foot on the brakes. |

EXERCISE
|
I invite you to name one breakthrough in 2011 that would make you feel very successful. Here are some clues in determining if something is going to be a breakthrough:
1. Something you always thought was unattainable. 2. Something you've tried many times. 3. Something that will make you feel uncomfortable at first and maybe even frightened. 4. Something that might make you excited
Here are just a few samples of breakthroughs: - Calling someone to ask for forgiveness
- Forgiving someone for a past hurt
- Inviting someone for a meal who has been estranged from you
- Eliminating a habit that does not serve you well anymore
- Exploring career options
- Taking voice or music lessons
- Teach something
- Go back to school
- Volunteer to lead your organization
- Write the first chapter in your book
- Hire a speech coach
- Hire a personal trainer
- Hire a business/life coach
I invite you to select what your breakthrough will be. Make the selection this week. You don't have to know how to do the breakthrough - that will come later.
Of course, I'm requesting that you share this breakthrough with someone you trust and who will keep you accountable. I would love to hear what your breakthrough for 2011 will be. |
