Dear , |
Welcome to Iss ue 80. If you did not receive a previous issue, you may use the archive link above to view it now. The mission of "Marvelous Mondays" is to offer an inspirational thought, a practical exercise, some humor, or a simple tip to jump-start your week and to enhance your life, business, outlook or relationships. Please feel free to forward "Marvelous Mondays" to others who will enjoy it. |
FIND THE POSITIVES IN YOUR JOB |
Few people can say that they like every aspect of their job. However, some employees focus on the things they do not like, which turns their thoughts to negativity and their performance to substandard levels.

EXERCISE
|
If you or a person on your team has this tendency, you may want to consider the following coaching exercise that I use with some of my clients.
I invite you to list all the things you like about your job: challenges, achievements, pay, the people, the clients, the vendors, the suppliers, the location, the environment, the recognition, etc. If you are a team leader, you may want the team to do the exercises.
If you cannot think of many things that you like about your job, then what is your next move? ["If you do not have a job," then what do you like about your family, your organization, your home and your life?] It might be to talk to someone in your organization and/or a career coach; someone who has the experience and tools to guide you OBJECTIVELY through the process. Of course, I am available.
