| FREEDOM |
We have celebrated our country's independence from England, claiming our freedom. Today, we are going to discuss a different kind of freedom. It is the freedom to forgive ourselves.
There is a health clinic in Kansas City with a sign that says, "I am not what has happened to me. I am who I choose to become." We all make mistakes, but we must become FREEof the past. Too often we revert to old negative thoughts and consider ourselves failures or deficient. Regardless of "mistakes in the past", there are techniques (including coaching techniques) to exercise our FREEDOM to forgive ourselves and move forward.

EXERCISE
|
I invite you to reflect. Is there some mistake or issue from
the past in which you are still judging yourself. The real question is, "what
will you do now?" Can you lighten it up, like Bob Hope.

"I would not have had anything to eat if it weren't for the stuff the audience threw at me."
- Bob Hope
