DEALING WITH CHANGE
|
We know that we cannot control change. We also know that we can control our reaction to change. We can embrace change. By embracing change, we can eliminate much of the stress, and experience an attitude of creating our own future.
A technique I use with my coaching clients to encourage them to embrace change is to first, develop the belief and self confidence that they can survive no matter what. Then they brainstorm changes that are not foreseen and allow them to role play and strategize, even in a hypothetical situation. This builds up their confidence and readiness to handle other changes that might be thrust upon them.

EXERCISE
|
This week, I invite you to make a one small change in your life. It does not have to be drastic. It could be ordering something new from the menu or taking a new route to work. Notice your reaction to this change. How did you respond? Where you able to embrace this change? Will you do it again? Please share your experience with someone and of course, you can always share your experience with me.

Change can happen anywhere.
