LESSONS FROM MARCH MADNESS AND PHIL JACKSON
Although the Chicago Bulls won three consecutive NBA Championships with Michael Jordan, coach Jackson reveals that the championships were due to the oneness of the team and not to any one man.

Coach Jackson gave a vital role to each of the twelve players, not just to the starters.  He inspired each player to be attuned to one another by practicing "mindfulness", which is simply paying attention to what is happening right now.

EXERCISE
Look at your own team:  your fellow workers, your family, or your organization.  I invite you to give everybody on the team a vital role and to inspire them to be acutely aware of what is happening whether or not the spotlight is on someone else.  If someone else is the team leader, then I invite you to ask that leader to give you a vital role.  And I request that you inspire me by telling me the results.
