LOVING YOUR HEART
The heart is a Valentine's symbol for loving others.  The chocolate hearts of Valentine's Day now linger on the clearance racks.  Something else lingers and it is an important question:
are you loving your own heart?

A recent Australian study tracked the exercise and television watching habits of 8,800 people.  Those that reported watching more than 4 hours of television per day were 80% more likely to have a fatal cardiovascular disease than those that spent less than 2 hours in front of the tube.  Long periods of being sedentary affects the body's processing of substances that contribute to heart disease.

We will discuss this Australian research in future issues.

Evidence proves that just standing is a good heart exercise.  It gives you far more energy than sitting.  Have you noticed that the NFL announcers stand now stand.

EXERCISE
This week, STAND UP FOR YOUR HEART.  Today, (if you have the capacity) stand up when you are on the phone.  Observe the differences, such as your energy and voice.  This is a coaching technique that I use with my clients.  Please let me know your observations.
