CHOOSE PEACE
In recent issues, we have discussed some qualities of leaders, including confidence and calmness.  It is very difficult to be a calm or confident leader if the leader is fearful. I want to share with you a short story for your reflection regarding fear.

A wise, old Native American shared his wisdom with a young grandson on the subject of fear.  He said that there are two wolves inside each of us and they are always fighting each other.  One is a wolf of peace and the other is a wolf of fear and hatred.  The young boy asked, "Which wolf will win?"  The wise old man said "whichever one I feed."

Which wolf do you feed?

EXERCISE
This week, I invite you to think about a conversation you are going to have with a client, fellow employee, supervisor, family member or friend.  Think of a situation where you might tend to feed the wolf of fear.  Make a commitment to yourself to feed the wolf of peace and confidence instead of the wolf of fear.  I would be delighted if you want to share that experience with me.
