Summer 2011 - Registration is now underway - Take advantage of the EXTRA early bird discount!!

Campuses are operating in Mississauga East and West, Oakville, Brampton and the region of York East and West with complimentary busing for all our locations.

Come to Tournesol camps this summer to practice your french in a fun environment.

We offer a wide range of products for students of all ages.
  • Les Boute-en-train (Intro to French) for 5 and 6 years preparing to enter a French program.
  • Les Curieux:  for children graduating from grade 1. 
  • Les Espiègles: for children graduating from grade 2. 
  • Les Intrépides: for children graduating from grades 3 to 6. 
  • Les Intrépides-en-route: short overnight experience for children in grades 3 to 6. 
  • Counselor-in-training: for students in grades 7 and 8, this is a leadership development program and may lead to employment at Tournesol in grade 9.

2011 will mark our 10th anniversary of offering French camps in the GTA.
And to celebrate, we are FREEZING the price of all our DAY CAMPS!!!

Also, we have asked our tshirt provider to design a tye dye tshirt for our summer 2011.  It will incorporate some of the colors used over the years for our annual tshirts.  The tye dye tshirts will be complimentary to every campers who register for our camp.  As an added offering, we will be selling the tye dye sweatshirt as well.  Some of you who were at the Intrépides-en-Route trip may have seen a prototype.  Order it at the time of registration and it will be delivered to your child on the first day of camp.  It will make a great memento of all your years at Tournesol.  Some parents have asked if they could purchase one for older siblings who have attended the camp in previous years.  Although it wil not be possible via the online registration, you are welcome to send us an email with the size and it will be added to your order.

This summer, let your child discover the southeast region of FRANCE with a name you can trust.  Your child, accompanied by Francophone adults,  will have the opportunity to live and discover France in a completely French environment for 13 days.  We will explore over 20 educational and exciting sites. 

This trip is offered to students between the ages of 10 to 16 years old (in 2011) in French Immersion or Francophone schools only.

  • Experience Provence with Cassis and Les Calanques;Arles, the roman city; The breathtaking view from the castle at Baux en Provence; Camargue with its wild bulls and herds of wild horses;

  • The French Alps with the famous Mont Blanc in Chamonix, site of the first winter Olympics and home to some of the best fondue!!

Can't wait to spend a few days away from home?? Then this is for you!!
 
If you are in grades 3 to 6, in a French immersion or a Francophone school and like discovering new places and making new friends then this is the program for you.  This is a short "away from home" trip to give campers a taste of adventure and independence....all in French.  You will spend 2 days in our day camp program to get to know each other and then go on a 3 day / 2 night overnight trip.  New destinations for 2011!!! This is offered only the weeks of July 25th and the week of August 8th so be sure to book early.

Thank you to all of you who took the time to complete our end of summer 2010 survey.  We experienced an increase in our response rate this year which is great.  The results are in and for our day camp programs, 85% of our campers were Very satisfied or satisfied!!  Our Intrépides-en-Route campers rated this program at 94% VERY SATISFIED!!  Click here for full details on he results of our survey on both the day camp and the Intrépides-en-Route program.

Did you attend camp in 2010?  Then take a look at our Video souvenir for each month.  You may be able to find yourself and your friends.  Parents get a feel for what your child experienced during his or her week at Tournesol!  Although every efforts are made, it is not possible to ensure that every campers are shown on the video.  Thank you to Mathew Murray for creating such fantastic memories. Camp Tournesol provides quality French immersion day camps in the Greater Toronto Area as well as out of province French immersion trips.  Our goal is to enhance and support the French immersion and francophone programs in Ontario.
