Patterson Library Goes
Fine Free Yes, it's true! The library is eliminating overdue fines on any item borrowed here. The reasons are many, but due to the increase in online accounts and auto-reminders, people are returning materials on time, making the amount of fines collected negligible. It actually costs more to process the fines than to collect them, and since we operate on a budget supported by our taxpayers in a public vote, being "Fine Free" will save us all time and money. |
Library Debuts New Logo
Times are changing and so is the Patterson Library! We are busier than ever, keeping pace with today's lifestyles and your changing needs. To help you know that so much about the library is new, we've changed our look with an exciting new logo. Check it out! Look for the new logo on our program flyers, e-news blasts, library cards, website and more. |
Spring is here, time
to plant the Garden!
It was such a great success last year we decided to expand our garden programs this year with the "Healthy Living" series. From planting to cooking healthy meals with garden vegetables, we will offer a wide variety of classes to help you live a healthy lifestyle. Join us on Saturday May 22 at 2 PM for our class on composting. Bring the kids and a bag lunch and help us get our compost pile started. After the discussion we will plant our seedlings in the Story Time Garden. Kids 5 & over interested in joining our Story Time Garden Club can call 845.878.6121 x 10 for information. |
