Margaret Carey has done the work for you and compiled an extensive list of websites created for women. Discover how using the Internet and these websites can make your everyday life easier. Featured websites cover a full range of topics including starting your own business, finding grants, funding education, health, bargain shopping, weight control, cooking and so much more.
Computer Class- Basic Internet: Thurs. Feb. 11 1PM Margaret Carey shows you the basics of using the Internet. Learn how to surf the web to do research, shop, make travel arrangements, pay bills and more.
Golden Age of Television: Sat. Feb. 27 1 PM
Join author & TV historian Prof.Brian Rose for this wonderful presentation on the "Golden Age" of Television and why it was such a fascinating time in TV history. Hear about the Quiz Show scandals, blacklisting and more. **
Ballroom & Latin Dance: Thurs. Mar. 4 7 PM
Here is your chance to try an introductory dance lesson with Sana Pavlova owner of the Fred Astaire Dance Studio at Clocktower Commons in Brewster, in part 1 of our "Just for Fun" series. Bring a partner or come alone and see why ballroom & Latin dancing is so popular. Registration required - space is limited.
Great Swamp Wood Turtles: Wed. Mar. 10 7 PM
Join Michael Musnick in this program on his study and tracking of the North American Wood Turtle, a species native to our own Great Swamp. Learn about the difficulties these creatures face and what is being done to save them.

We can't wait to start planting in our Story Time Garden, so we've planned a 3 - part gardening series with the Putnam County Cornell Cooperative Extension. Learn how you can have a thriving garden, filled with a variety of healthy vegetables. This program is open to everyone, including families and anyone interested in helping with our Story Time Garden.

Our "Just for Fun" series continues with this entertaining and informative presentation with Richard Harvey, nationally recognized Blackjack expert and best selling author of the books Blackjack the Smart Way & Cutting Edge Blackjack. Discover the beautiful outdoor recreation areas right in our own backyard. Mac Rand owner of Great Blue Outfitters in Patterson, discusses hiking the Appalachian Trail, and kayaking on the Great Swamp, plus other local wonderful places to enjoy the great outdoors.
