Greetings!

If your box is missing, call us at 888-779-4511. If you catch us between 9a-4p we can help you right away. If you discover your box is missing outside of office hours, we'll work with you the following day to make sure your fruit still gets to you.
I'm happy to say we're hitting our stride in regards to packing. We've put a lot of time and effort into upping our communication procedures and Karen has gone above and beyond ensuring that everyone in the packing shed knows the right quality, weight, and ripeness of fruit to box. Our new printer means the color coding on our labels is much clearer, helping our driver and the loading crew make sure that the right number of boxes are making it to the right drop-off sites. And on top of all that, this week we're trying something new in routing deliveries and as of right now, it's looking very promising.
Being on the other side of a CSA for the first time is a real eye-opener for me. My hat goes off to Karen for doing such a stellar job organizing things. We're all hopeful for the changes we've made to be of benefit to both the farm and our CSA members. As always, your feedback is a big part of letting us know how it goes. Please keep us in the loop!
We've got two beautiful varieties in the box this week for a great mix of tastes. There are yellow Flavorcrest peaches to enjoy which delivers a classic peach experience, and the famous Santa Rosa plum. The Santa Rosa plum was cultivated by the well-known California horticulturist Luther Burbank, and does a stellar job of showing off how the tartness of a plum's skin can only serve to enhance the sweetness of its flesh. Both of these fruits can be refrigerated, so if you manage to save a few for later, place the ripe and unwashed fruit into a plastic bag. Allow them to return to room temperature again before digging in to experience the full burst of their flavor.
...also we've caught the bad link in our Facebook notice, so come say hi!
Cheers,
Kimi Owens
