Marin Independent Journal Joins MALT in Endorsing Measure A

Measure A

"Parks, open space and protecting farmland have long been top priorities of Marin residents. William Kent, Caroline Livermore, Clem Miller, Peter Behr and many other local visionaries and leaders worked hard to create the parks and and save the open lands we enjoy and treasure today.  Measure A, a quarter-cent sales tax increase, is a modest taxpayer investment that will help continue that legacy..." Boissevain: Historical Photographs of Marin's Agrarian Roots
Exhibit at Toby's Feed Barn in Point Reyes Station through Oct. 31

Boissevain and Boyd Stewart in 1922 Toby's Feed Barn in Point Reyes Station is presenting a photographic exhibit this month portraying Marin's agricultural past as seen through the lens of Marin's first farm advisor, M.B. Boissevain.  Serving as lead agronomist and community leader from 1920 to 1950, Boissevain - a talented and prolific photographer - took hundreds of photographs, and his 4 x 5-inch negatives capture a unique and intimate look at what life was like for Marin ranchers and farmers during the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s.  At Toby's through Oct. 31.  Sponsored by MALT.
