New Professionals Section

Save the dates for our exciting upcoming events:

Wednesday, April 11, 2012- - Tour of Goose Island
  Brewery with a Happy Hour following

Join us promptly at 6pm for a tour of the Goose Island Brewery located at 1800 W. Fulton, Chicago.  This is a working facility so closed toed shoes must be worn.  The tour and beer sampling will last about 1-1.5 hours and then we will relocate to a nearby place to continue the fun. This tour is LIMITED to 25 people so please REGISTER EARLY. If you are unable to participate in the tour, you are welcome to meet up with us after (location TBD, check website for details). Car-pooling or public transportation is encouraged. Goose Island Brewery is located close to the green line, the Damen bus and the Ashland bus.

Scholarships

Strietelmeier Scholarship Announcement for Unemployed Chicago Section IFT Members

The Chicago Section IFT will provide up to $3,000 of Scholarship funds for individuals that are unemployed and seeking employment in the food industry. Scholarship funds can be used to offset expenses relating to attending the upcoming Annual IFT Convention and Expo or to offset expenses relating to training purposes in the form of a workshop, shortcourses, etc.

Applicants must be unemployed, seeking employment in the food industry and members of the Chicago Section IFT that reside in the zip code boundaries of the Section. The maximum amount an individual can be awarded is $1,000.
