HAPPY NEW YEAR!

As we wrap up our inaugural year we can look back with pride at some pretty amazing accomplishments, and look forward to a very promising New Year.

Help us grow our grassroots by forwarding this to anyone and everyone who understands why it is so important to protect our lifestyle, our culture, and our ability to enjoy and make a living with horses by proactively addressing the two big issues at the heart of our long-term well being:

  1. Restoring humane slaughter of excess, unusable, unwanted horses in the U.S. so that horse owners have options, access to viable markets, and the ability to preserve and grow the equine industry...and to prevent the continual starvation, abandonment, and suffering of horses whose owners have no options nationwide;
  2. Controlling the overpopulation of wild horses on public lands, and feral horses on private and tribal lands so that the ranges can be environmentally protected for sustainable levels of horses in the wild, native wildlife species, and preserving the multiple-purpose mandate to manage our public lands...rather than institute a misbegotten welfare entitlement program for every excess wild and domestic horse at enormous cost to taxpayers, and the devastation of natural balances.
Get on Facebook, Twitter, and any other social network you belong to, and send horse people our way.

We are easy to find on the web at http://www.UnitedOrgsoftheHorse.org. While you are there connect to us on Facebook and Twitter and check out our fundraising promotions to win a Dodge truck, a Stetson/Resistol Hat, and a John Deere Gator.

(Every $100 donation gets a membership and a chance at the Dodge; every membership gets a chance at the hat; and every time you refer someone else who becomes a member for 2010 you get a chance at the Gator!)

We need every horse person we can find to sign up to be a member. The cost is minimal, $25 for 2010, but the impact is enormous.

If you can't afford $25 bucks, join our mailing list and give us your email address so that we can alert you when we need to push legislation in the states, in Congress, get a petition signed, complete a survey, collect data, or seek legal action.

We have learned the hard way that playing it "safe" and only trying to counter aggressive animal rights initiatives with defensive action is a losing game. Hasn't worked worth a damn so far!

2010...the year we turn it around for horse people and the horse industry!

Get on the wagon, or get out of the way...and for heaven's sake...if you do nothing else...help us spread the word!

We know that we are outnumbered, and out financed, but we won't stop fighting for our rights and our livelihoods.

We need your help. Encourage everyone you know to join our list. Help us show that practically everyone who makes even a part of their living with horses, and everyone in animal agriculture from cattle ranchers to egg producers, understands that we are faced with an all out class war against people of the land, and against people who raise animals for food, fiber, or pleasure by radical animal rights groups seeking to eliminate animal agriculture.

HELP US LEAD THE CHARGE INTO THE NEW YEAR!
