United Way Reports 2010 Turnaround Campaign Raising More Than $25 Million 

 

2010 Campaign & Leadership Recognition Event 
 

United Way of Northeast Florida announced strong 2010 results - reporting a "turnaround" campaign total of more than $25 million. Up three percent from the previous year, and breaking through the agency's goal of a two percent increase, these results will strengthen our community and create lasting change in the lives of children, youth, and families across Northeast Florida.

WILL and Success By 6 Council Advocate in Tallahassee   

 

On Tuesday, April 5, members of United Way's Women In Local Leadership and Success By 6 Council joined together to advocate in Tallahassee for access to high-quality early education for children. The group of 21 broke into teams and met with more than 40 legislators and aides.

Luxury for Learning
 

Craig Air Center, at Craig Municipal Airport, and United Way of Northeast Florida hosted more than 250 guests for an evening of luxury rare and exotic cars, private jets and exclusive auction items to benefit United Way's Achievers For Life (AFL) program.

United Way Receives $15,000 from P&G for Health and Wellness Efforts

 

United Way of Northeast Florida received $15,000 from a Proctor & Gamble (P&G) partnership with the National Football League.  P&G's Touchdown for Kids challenge awarded $5,000 per touchdown scored in the Pro Bowl to the local United Way of the player's home market to support youth and health and wellness efforts.
