Dear United Way Friend, |
Throughout this campaign, we've seen the commitment of First Coast men and women.
Even in these tough times, we respond to the challenges we face as a community. And nowhere was that more evident than in this year's campaign.
There were many people who, recognizing their good fortune to have a job or income, felt compelled to share their treasure to help their neighbors in need.
It is up to us to capture this spirit-neighbor by neighbor, business by business-and reach out a hand to one to influence the condition of all. To Give. To Advocate. To Volunteer. That's our charge. To LIVE UNITED means that you're part of the change.
In these challenging times our community stepped forward to take care of urgent needs today and invest in laying the groundwork for a better tomorrow. For the caring and deep generosity of all of you, we say thank you.
Sincerely,
Marty Lanahan

I'm grateful for the tremendous companies, organizations, and individuals that supported this year's United Way campaign," said Marty Lanahan, 2008 Campaign Chair. At an April 16th breakfast meeting, United Way announced that it raised $24,830,590, during the 2008 campaign. With 250 guests gathered, United Way leaders congratulated longstanding community partners, award-winning campaigns, and United Way supporters for their hard work, resolve, and commitment.
