On September 25, United Way of Northeast Florida held the 2008 Community Campaign Kickoff at The Jacksonville Landing. United Way Kicks Off Campaign with Concert on the River!

With nearly 1,000 guests in attendance, United Way of Northeast Florida kicked off the 2008 Community Campaign on September 25 at The Jacksonville Landing. 2008 Campaign Chair Marty Lanahan, North Florida Area Executive and City President of Regions Bank, announced the campaign goal of $26,350,000 that will allow United Way to create opportunities for a better life for First Coast children, youth, seniors and families. read more

| Raymond James Grant Improves Services for Homeless Community

United Way of Northeast Florida received $31,000 in funding for system upgrades to the Community Shared Database, an online database allowing participating agencies serving the First Coast to access more than 3,800 resources and social services for the homeless population.

In an effort to raise awareness, United Way of Northeast Florida's 2-1-1 information and referral call center recently teamed up with several automobile clubs to sponsor the Seventh Annual Charity Oktoberfest 2008 at World Golf Village in St. Augustine on September 20. This year's show showcased classic cars from national and local European, Japanese, and American automobile clubs, as well as private investment collections.
