God's Promise Of Salvation

Jesus came into this world, proclaiming the Kingdom of God - not a kingdom on a map, but a kingdom of those willing to be ruled by Him. All we have to do receive His salvation and have eternal life with Him is to say to God, "I can't handle my own life very well. I believe in your Son Jesus Christ. You take over."

I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. Your filth will be washed away, and you will no longer worship idols. And I will give you a new heart with new desires, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony heart of sin and give you a new, obedient heart. And I will put my Spirit in you do you will obey my laws and do whatever I command...You will be my people and I will be your God."
     Ezekiel 36:25-28

"God so loved the world that He gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it."
     John 3:16-17

This is a time to stop and reflect on all of the blessings God has given this past year.

Psalm 34:8 says, "Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him!!"

In Malachi 3:10 He promises "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse...and test me now in this, if I will not open for you the windows of heaven, and pour out for you a blessing until there is no more need,"

In Deuteronomy 7:13 it says that "He will love you and bless you and multiply you; He will also bless the fruit of your womb and the fruit of the land."

God is not a tightwad, He is not stingy, He is a God of great abundance.

We must have faith in His steadfast love, and we will discover overflowing blessings!

Merry Christmas to everyone. May you have a joyous Holiday.

A MESSAGE FROM DICK TALLEY

Christmas Greetings

This time of year is all about the birth of Christ. We began the year with the earthquake in Haiti. While distributing filters lives were changed. A Voodoo priest accepted the Lord. Because of  his conversion he helped form the Amputee Soccer program in Haiti. You have been apart of helping them go to the World Cup soccer competition in Argentina where they were very successful. Many of these men have accepted the Lord. They were able to witness to the teams of 31 nations. Upon returning to the States, they have worked with our veterans. They hope to revive the amputee program here in the States. They also worked with the Scottish Rite Hospital lifting up the spirits of all they came in contact with. Everywhere they go they make a difference. They soon will return to Haiti. You have been a part of giving new lives to a group of men who have gone through tragedies, but now have new lives in the Lord. I wish all the Men and Women of Texas Baptist Men a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

"I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not
for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray,
I will listen. if you look for me in earnest, you will find me when you seek me."

Jeremiah 29:11-13
