 New Mobile App Now Available
Belgard Hardscapes launched the free Belgard mobile app this month, putting outdoor living ideas and information on patio, wall and driveway pavers conveniently at the fingertips of anyone working on hardscape projects.
With a mobile device in hand, contractors can now quickly and easily show their customers visuals of products available in their specific region, explore color swatches for design discussions, and share information critical in purchasing decisions such as warranty details or maintenance tips.
Consumers can use the tool on their own to explore different outdoor living and décor options, from fireplaces and outdoor kitchens to garden walls and sweeping driveways. They can also use the Locator tool to find the outdoor living design center or paver contractor nearest them. Additionally, more than a dozen videos featured in the app offer tools and resources including inspirational outdoor living scenes from designer show homes and remodeling projects.

 Start Taking Those "Before" Pics!
Later this month, Belgard will announce the details of the 2012 Outdoor Living Design Contest for projects that include the use of Belgard Hardscapes. If you're currently working on an interesting project, think ahead. Contest submissions will need quality "before," "during," and "after" photos. Photos should be at least 4"x6" at 300 DPI. For amateur photographers, a 6 megapixel camera or better with the photo quality set on high should do the trick. For best results, take photos from multiple angles, remembering to take before, during, and after shots from each angle. Try to avoid shadows cast by trees and surrounding structures and furniture. Often, this is best achieved by shooting early in the morning or near dusk. |

Belgard Featured at Southern Spring Home & Garden Show
 Belgard was featured at the Southern Spring Home & Garden Show in Charlotte, N.C., earlier this month to celebrate "Rhythm in Bloom" where presenters each created intricate displays based on musical themes. As a sponsor of the Showcase Gardens, a number of designers used Belgard Hardscape products in their designs. One local Belgard Authorized Contractor, Henry DeBoer of DeSignia, created a vibrant outdoor living display based on the Moody Blue's classic "Nights in White Satin" with sweeping Belgard walkways, white flowering plants, and a romantic curtained gazebo. Another Belgard display included an intimate Belgard Arbel paver patio with a seat wall enclosure, centered on an expansive outdoor fireplace.
Reporter Jon Wilson of News Rising, the local Fox affiliate's morning news program, caught up with representatives from DeSignia and Belgard for a lighthearted tour of these two creative outdoor living displays.
