Oakcrest Tavern Wraps Up a Healthy Menu Item
Ordering from a restaurant can be daunting....we know! To make
things a little easier, we have partnered with the Oakcrest Tavern in Shorewood to
add a new menu item -- The Milwaukee Adventure Boot Camp Approved Wrap. It has been an instant and tasty hit!
The whole wheat wrap is stuffed with grilled chicken breast, avocado, mandarin orange slices, carrots, pine nuts, fresh ginger, sun-dried tomatoes and spinach
tossed
in light balsamic vinaigrette. It is served with a "Coaches Salad" that
is a
crunchy mixture of baby greens, cucumbers, tomatoes, pine nuts and feta
cheese with light balsamic vinaigrette dressing. The macronutrient
portions (proteins, carbs and fats) are the appropriate serving size
for lunch or dinner. So feel free to eat the whole thing!
To give this "perfect meal"
the fanfare it deserves, we are officially rolling out the wrap the week of November 9
through 14. The following MABC coaches will be
at Oakcrest Tavern as part of the rollout. Come sit at their table!
Friday, November 13th
11:30 AM to 12:30 PM - Join Coach Amy
Saturday, November 14th 12:30 to 2:00 PM - Join Coaches Sandi and Catherine
If you can't join us, make
sure to stop in and try it out, and of course, let us know what you think!

A Simple Prescription for Good Health
Want the bottom-line prescription for good health? Cut down on all food products made with any kind of flour and sugar.
According to best-selling author Andrew Weil, M.D. and
founder/director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine, sugar
and processed carbohydrates are the primary culprits in the obesity
epidemic. This is just one of the premises explored in his new book, Why Our Health Matters.
Weil emphasizes the importance of focusing on what you eat as much
as how much you eat. Health comes from eating the right amount of good
foods and including exercise in your routine. MORE
