This work is an international partnership, joining hands across continents and oceans. Consider Francine's story. After graduating with a degree in Communication from UCBC (CI's bilingual university) Francine applied for the position of Public Relations Director with HEAL Africa in Goma. Candidates who passed the initial screening process had to write an essay about their vision for radio. Francine articulated a vision not just for the organization, but also for the province and the entire country. Her vision of radio as a tool for transformation and her ability to articulate it, together with her level of preparedness and professionalism, were key to being hired for the job.
