WINTER AT NASAMI FARM
                                           Aesculus pavia seed

The snows have been particularly gorgeous this season as we prepare for the best spring season ever.  Nursery Business Manager Ron Wik shares a peaceful winter view of our Whately location.  Come see us when we reopen at Nasami on April 17,2008.

CONSERVATION PLANNING SEASON

Do you ever wonder what happens with plant conservation during the winter?  It is the peak of the planning season. NEPCoP, a Society-run consortium of conservation PCV patchprofessionals and academics, have Task Force meetings through January to strategize conservation action priorities for rare plants and to address problems including invasive species challenges across the region. These sessions, combined with the Plant Conservation Volunteer (PCV) meetings that follow allow for early intervention and the best chance for success. Based on these efforts we scheduled actions in 1200 sites in all six New England states in 2007.  Do you want to volunteer as a PCV in 2008? Contact John Burns at jburns@newenglandwild.org.
