Most of us try to solve our problems with the same mind that created them.
Instead, I want to help you find solutions by transcending the linear dimension of logic, reason, and memory. Sometimes shifts arise from consciousness which exists beyond the confines of the intellect.
In the linear approach, a rope wrapped a hundred times around a post would require being unwound a hundred times in the opposite direction. With clarity and unity of mind we burn the rope rather than unwinding it. It allows you to resolve karmic patterns by going directly to the root of self-destructive fears, beliefs and habits to regain freedom.
Erica Boucher:
"Now, more than ever, it is imperative that we get aligned with our core values, our deepest truths, and our purest intentions. In these times, we are being asked to get in touch with our deepest calling, no matter how irrational it may seem to others. Somebody once posed the question: What is stronger; a boulder, or the wave of water that crashes against it? While the rock is still, unmoving and stagnant, water's strength lies in its ability to shape-shift, let go, and flow. It is possible to live a life of flow even during these tumultuous times. In fact, it may be the only way to thrive in today's ever-changing world."
Here is an exercise that I adapted from several teachings to get clear on what is important to you and how you can use these guide post that you live your life by to get you to your goals this year.
Try not to over think, but go with your gut feeling. Do not spend allot of time on these exercises, but do write them down. Best of luck, let me know how it works for you.
1. What are your core values? Consider making a list of that which is most important to you. Then go back and put a mark by the 10 that evoke the strongest emotional response in you. Finally, out of those ten, number the top five in order of importance from 1 down to Five.
2. What are the top five goals or resolutions you have for your new year? Out of those five which one would be the fastest, most realistic goal you could achieve? Can the principles you picked as your core values help you accomplish this goal? If so ponder how, if not choose another goal as your first goal to achieve.
3. Create a sentence that sums up your top goal or resolution as if it is manifest in the present. "I am using my core values to have and maintain money in abundance of my needs, now!" Make it concise and to the point. Keep this sentence in your mind, transfer it into your heart.
4. Anytime you are faced with a doubt or challenge, repeat your sentence to yourself, keep yourself in check. Soon, you will be at your goal. It is when we repeat the same defeating behaviors that we fail.
