Bethel Baptist Church
Greetings!
Have you ever noticed the use of certain words during uncertain times? For instance I hear the word "concern" a lot now. People are concerned about the environment, people are concerned about the economy and people are concerned about their health or at least the health of someone else. Some people are concerned about their lost family and friends and some people are just concerned. It seems almost the norm to walk around concerned, because if you are not you don't really care.
Now there is another word that you hear a lot these days, "care". For instance does anyone really care? How can we care for so many with so little? We need to care more for the elderly, we need to care more for the poor, we need to care more for those that are hurting, and we just need to care.
Then there is another word that comes to my mind when I think of concern and care and that is "courageous". Courageous is a great word because it often speaks of someone's character or actions. For instance that sure was a courageous move on his/her part. Did you see how courageous that person was as they put their own life in danger to help someone else?
I know I have lived under the cloud of concern as I have looked at all that is going on around us. I know that I am living under the cloud of being concerned because I know that I can do more and if I don't, do I really care. But, I am almost certain that if I am going to live courageously under the SON, I will move on that which I am concerned with prayer and action. I will care about the things that He has called me to care for and I will move courageously to accomplish everything that He has shown me.
Rom 8:37-39
37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. NASU
Be Concerned.
Care.
Be Courageous.
PS Don't be afraid.
God Bless, Bro. Chris
