Greetings!

I pray that you have had the opportunity to be part of the revival summit. The first day was maybe one of the best revival services that I have ever been apart of. We were exposed to truth, responsibility, and cost. We were exposed to the cost of following Christ. We were challenged to consider what we call being saved and how it has become so humanized to the point that we can hardly recognize it as true conversion. When we were in the Dominican Republic last week we learned that you don't ask them if they have been saved.  They all have been saved; you ask them if they have been converted.  In other words has their life changed because they have placed their faith in Jesus Christ thus being converted from a different lifestyle.

Sure Christ paid the ultimate cost with His life but what about us? What has following Christ cost you and me? How can we, as Christians, living in the U. S. even consider a cost? Have we been persecuted, beaten, or lost our jobs because of our faith? It is amazing what we call sacrifice today. We sacrifice to come to church; we sacrifice to give to the church; we sacrifice to serve in the church, and we don't mind saying no when that sacrifice begins to rub us the wrong way. Oh, that Christ would allow us to suffer for His sake. I know that I have suffered but my sufferings are because of my choices not my sacrifices. To suffer for Christ is a sad but new concept or possibility for the church in America. I wonder how many would pray Lord let me suffer today for your sake!

God Bless,
Bro. Chris

P.S. I thank God for your presence at this revival summit.
