Greetings!

Summer is all but over however the heat is still on and the heat is on the church to be the church. It is my desire to see you, the church, grow in every good gift that Christ has to offer you.  The Bible says that He has
provided us with every spiritual gift in the heavenlies. I am excited to announce to you that we will be starting a new semester for DU on August 10. With our new semester in DU we will be offering new opportunities as well as some of the same classes that you have asked for in the past. I hope that you will sign up and show up for what I believe will be a great semester of DU.

I want you to also know that we will be moving our choir practice back to Wednesday evenings and we will start having "REAL PRAYER MEETINGS" that will begin at 6:30 p.m. Bro. Arzell has offered to lead this time as he has been teaching for several semesters on the power of prayer. We will be having personal testimonies from our G. R. O. W. ministry as well as hearing from others as they share their personal testimonies concerning God's grace in their lives. This should be an exciting hour to be in church.  I hope to see you there!

Beth Moore Simulcast
Beth Moore is coming to our church via satellite! On August 1 - 2, the fourth national Living Proof Live simulcast broadcasts live from the sold-out LPL event Louisville, KY. You can experience - via a live-feed satellite hook-up - every minute of Beth Moore's powerful messages, along with incredible praise and worship led by Travis Cottrell and the praise team. Back to School Bash (7th -12th grade)
August 13 6:30-8:30. Students invite all your friends for food, fun, and fellowship. This year the Back to School Bash is going to be bigger and better than before. Don't miss out!!!

The Gathering
August 15 - 16. The Gathering is a weekend of discipleship training, fellowship, fun, exciting worship and powerful messages. The theme for The Gathering is REACH (Acts 1:8). We believe that God has called Christian teenagers to share the good news of Jesus Christ with everyone in their sphere of influence. The cost is $35.00 per person, which includes all expenses for the weekend. Cost:  $40 plus lunch
When:  Thursday, September 18
Cost includes admission to all open attracations for the entire day including Summit Skyride, Scenic Railroad, 4D Theater, The Great Barn Treehouse Challenge, Camp Highland Outpost, Riverboat Pedal Boats, Mini Golf, Antebellus At Memorial Hall and the Antique Car and Treasure Museum. Reservation deadline is September 1.

Michigan Revival
We will be leaving Wednesday night September 10 and return Thursday, Septhember 17. We will be sending a revival team to participate in a simultaneous revival effort in the Upper Peninsula Baptist Association. We will be prayer walking and
community canvassing in the area. Our work will be with the Houghton Baptist Church, Houghton, Michigan. (Dee Coker, Pastor) See Bro. Conroy for more infomation.
