Don't let the winter get you down! Check out our 2010 Summer Camps!
It's been quite a couple of months here in Pittsburgh, hasn't it? Record snow fall, cancelled classes (see our make-up schedule below) and cabin fever. We have the perfect cure: register today for our 2010 Summer Performance Camps at Pittsburgh CLO Academy!

We're excited to once again offer five different camp options to fit a variety of ages and schedules, from You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown for grades 1-3 to Willy Wonka and Footloose for grades 4-6 and 7-9 to Oliver! for students of all ages. We're also so thrilled to announce the Pre-Professional Performer's Intensive for grades 9-12 will be working with Hairspray this year! Click here for more information about individual camps.

Grease Master Class this Friday!
It's not too late to register for our exciting master class with Christina Sivrich from the Original Broadway cast of Grease! Christina is a Point Park graduate now touring with the show, and we're thrilled she can join us for a master class on Friday, March 12 from 4:30 to 6pm at CLO Academy. The cost is $50 for participants ages 8 to 18 and you do not have to be an Academy student to attend. Register online today!

Schedule Announcements

summer camp 2009

We've added an additional week to our 2nd Semester schedule to accommodate the classes cancelled last week due to snow. Classes will be held on their regularly scheduled day beginning Monday, May 17 through Saturday, May 22.

Please note, this does NOT affect the All-Academy Musical schedule. The All-Academy Musical will be held Saturday, May 15, 2010.

Important Announcement about Saturday, May 1: Due to maintenance on the building, all Saturday students will have to enter at the front of the Highmark building on May 1 only. Our security guard George will be in the main lobby and students will be escorted to our regular elevator. No student drop-offs will be allowed in the alley, but students may be dropped off at the main entrance on Penn Avenue.

Spotlight On: CLO Summer Internships
Did you know that Pittsburgh CLO hosts around twenty college interns each summer for a variety of hands-on positions in everything from Directing, Hair Design and Costume Coordination to Development and Video Production? The summer interns are an essential part of what makes our Summer Season productions so successful. Here at CLO Academy, we look forward to working with two dynamic young Education interns each summer to assist with our summer performance camps. If you know a student who would be interested in our competitive internship program, please direct them to pittsburghCLO.org to download an application. Completed application packets are accepted until all positions are filled, but interviews have already begun!
