PR to Honor School Director & PA Teacher of the Year: PRSD will honor retiring board member Gary Deschamps and PA Teacher of the Year Michelle Switala on November 17 at 7:30 p.m. during the regular board meeting. Please join us to celebrate their accomplishments in the Administration Building's Dewitt Blank Room.
PA Teacher of Year Preparing for Busy Year: The PA Teacher of the Year is working hard in the classroom and preparing for a busy year. PRHS Teacher Michelle Switala will travel to Dallas on January 26-31 for the National Teacher of the Year Annual Conference. Boys Soccer Make Playoffs: Congratulations to the PR Boys soccer team Section II Champions! They entered the WPIAL Playoffs as the 5th seed with a record of 7-1-2 in Section II and 10-4-2- overall. They won their first game against Gateway (1-0) followed by a tough overtime and penalty kick loss to Norwin. Congrats on a great season!
PRHS Field Hockey Team Raised Awareness & Funds for Breast Cancer: The Pine-Richland Girls Field Hockey Team raised more than $2,270, after launching an initiative aimed at raising money and awareness of a disease that affects one in every eight women - breast cancer. Read more...
Important Date Change - Talent Show Being Rescheduled: Organizers for the PRHS Talent Show are changing the date, due to scheduling difficulties. The talent show will be held on January 21 rather than November 25. Questions? Email kroofner@pinerichland.org.

| Gobble for Cans: Support PRMS Gobble for Cans as they collect non-perishable items to help feed the hungry. If a flyer was placed in your mailbox, students will be around on Tuesday, November 6, from 4-6:30 to pick up any donated items. Simply place the items in a bag outside your door. If a flyer was not placed in your mailbox and you would like to donate, please deliver the goods to the Middle School before 6:30 p.m. on November 10. Thank you for your generous contributions!
Empty Bowls Fundraiser, November 21: Students from the Ceramics classes and the Interact Club will be holding their annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser on Saturday, November 21, from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the high school cafe/atrium. Soup & bread buffet along with a handmade bowl will be $10. Soup & bread buffet only will be $5. Children 5 and under are free. Proceeds will benefit both the Lighthouse Foundation and Kurt Wolfe's Fund.
