2009-2010 School Year to Begin August 26, 2009: 
Pine-Richland School District will welcome back about 4,550 students on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 as it continues to see an increase in enrollment. The district will see many new upgrades and additions in 2009 - 2010. Click here for more details.
 
H1N1 Flu: What You Can Do As A Parent:  While Novel Influenza A (H1N1) continues to make headlines, Pine-Richland School District is closely monitoring the situation. We're asking parents to keep children home if they exhibit flu-like symptoms. Contact your physician and the school office. Teach children to cover their mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing. Click here for more tips on what you can do.
 
2009-2010 Immunization Requirements:  Students must show immunization documentation.  If a student fails to submit documentation to his/her school by October 1, 2009, he/she will not be admitted to school.  Click here for the new requirements.
 
2009 PR Football Season:  Ticket and parking order forms available.  Click here for details.
 
Do You Have A Cow You Can Share?  PRHS Student Government is planning to host Cow Paddy Bingo following the Homecoming Parade on Thursday, October 8.  If you have a cow that we can borrow for this fun community event, please email Marty Trombetta

Clothing Closet at Eden Hall:  The Eden Hall Clothing Closet is open to all families in the Pine-Richland School District.  Available sizes include toddler through adult.  If you need items, please contact the Eden Hall Guidance Office.
Sports Leagues, Teams, and Activities
New Fall Youth Field Hockey League:
Girls and boys entering grades 4-6 are invited to join the PRYC Fall Youth Field Hockey League to be held on Sundays from 5-7 p.m. at Pine-Richland High School.  Registration deadline is August 30.  Click here for details and registration form. Fall 2009 PRGS Academy Training Program:  Training will be offered for girls in grades 1-3 on Sundays in the Fall and is intended to supplement your daughter's participation on her local team.  (This program is not affiliated with the PR Soccer Club.)  This program is also used as a means to identify players for our u9 and u10 Select teams.  Tryouts for these teams take place in May.  Click here for the registration form.
 
PR Aquatics:  Registration for Competitive Swim Team is being held on September 9 & 10 from 5-7 p.m. at PRHS Pool.  Click here for details.
 
USA Field Hockey Futures Program:  U14, U16, and U19 tryouts will be held on August 24-25 from 1-2 p.m. at the PRHS Stadium.  Register for Region 9 by clicking here.  Questions?  Contact Head Field Hockey Coach Donna Stephenson.

Tutoring Help in Math Available for Sixth Graders:  The Pine-Richland Youth Center, in cooperation with PRSD, has a math tutoring program for sixth grade students.  Click here for details.
