War Eagle! The 2010 BCS National Champion Auburn Tigers Football Team was honored at the White House yesterday. In case you missed it, here's the White House video.
CNN was to interview Coach Chizik this morning about the White House visit, but those plans changed; the Auburn Athletic Department says it will now happen on Friday morning - here is what they posted on Facebook: 
The Atlanta Auburn Club has big events coming up, and we are adding more! Our 20th Annual Roy B. Sewell Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament is on Monday (June 13). Thanks to everyone who's registered! We still have some room if anyone else is interested in joining us. In a club tradition, Rod Bramblett and Paul Ellen will be joining us, and we have some great course, and we have some great hole-in-one prizes! More information below.
We have an after-work MAIN event in Mableton tonight, plus.... we've been talking to the Atlanta Falcons! They are offering us a group discount on tickets for Cam Newton's Atlanta debut for the Carolina Panthers - vs. the Falcons - on Sunday, October 16. It will be part of a BIG weekend that has the Florida Gators returning to Jordan-Hare on October 15 - so save the date!

Don't Miss It! The AAC's 20th Annual Roy B. Sewell Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament is on Monday!
The Atlanta Auburn Club holds its 20th Annual Roy B. Sewell Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament this Monday, June 13. That means 20 years of Tiger competition and fun... 20 years of 501(c)(3) scholarship fundraising resulting in thousands of dollars raised for metro Atlanta area students to attend Auburn University, 20 years of beverage coupons... and, 20 years of mulligans!
 
This year's hole-in-one competition includes some AUsome prizes: an Escort Drive Smarter Bundle; set of Callaway Irons; set of Callaway Drivers and Fairway Woods; and a Fairmont Golf vacation!
Thanks to all the Auburn Tigers who have registered! We have another great day planned! If you are a late decider - no worries - we still have room. Just contact Peyton Jamison, listed below, and he can get you on the list. You can register as a single golfer, pair, foursome... and you can even bring some non-Tigers. business partners/clients with you. We also have all levels of players.

| Mud...Football... and AUBURN! It's the Gridiron Trail Rush!
Join the AAC on August 13 at Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers
 Get ready for the 2011 College Football Season... in the mud! Join the Atlanta Auburn Club at the Gridiron Trail Rush on Saturday, August 13. This is an event that is part Warrior Dash - part SEC Tailgate - and a whole lotta fun!
We are looking for a big Auburn Tiger turnout to help kick off this inaugural event in the metro Atlanta area. Best part? Some proceeds from all Auburn entries will be donated back to the Atlanta Auburn Club's 501(c)(3) Roy B. Sewell Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Gridiron Trail Rush is a 5k trail run that takes you through an entry tunnel, creek, hills, mud pit, tires and a whole lot more with an end-zone finish line. And of course - it wouldn't be football without wearing your favorite college colors and a "post-game" party. Bring your family and friends to cheer you on, challenge your rivals, and challenge yourself to discover who is #1!!!
Have some fun -- get dirty -- and show everyone what a REAL FAN looks like! WAR EAGLE!!
There are two divisions:
* Varsity division: A more competitive division with a premium shirt and early access to the trail.
* Tailgater division: A fun run challenge with commemorative shirt and later start time to tackle the course.

| SAVE THE DATE! AAC-Atlanta Falcons Outing for Cam Newton's Carolina Panthers Debut in Atlanta! SUNDAY, OCTOBER 16
This club event - with a nice variety of group discount ticket options - is on the AAC calendar, pending when the NFL labor situation gets resolved. For now, save the date! It's part of a BIG football weekend that includes the Auburn Tigers home game versus the Florida Gators, so tell your friends to come watch Cam play on Sunday, too! As soon as the Falcons tell us that ticket orders can start, we will let you know.

Nomination Period Reopened for Submitting Candidates for Auburn Board of TrusteesAlabama Gov. Robert Bentley and the Auburn Trustee Selection Committee have reopened the nomination period for submitting potential candidates for the Auburn University board of trustees. Clicking this link will take you to additional information on the nominating process, as well as online application and nomination forms. There are eight district vacancies designated for Alabama residents, as well as one "at-large" vacancy open to any in-state or out-of-state individual. The deadline for nominations is June 24. We encourage you to share this information with individuals who meet the criteria and are dedicated to serving Auburn.

We will be getting together in Birmingham and Atlanta to celebrate our Auburn spirit this summer. On July 24, you and your family can join us at Grant Park in Atlanta, and on August 7, we will be at Oak Mountain State Park in Birmingham. Mark your calendar now. Tools for Tigers Career Seminar
If you are a recent graduate still in the hunt for a job or a seasoned alumni changing careers or entering the workforce for the first time in a long time, join the Auburn University Career Center and the Office of Alumni Affairs Career Services for a one-day seminar Monday, June 27 from 7:30am - 5:00pm (CT) in the Auburn Alumni Center. Prior to the event, registrants will complete the StrengthsFinder/StrengthsQuest and TypeFocus with both assessments being interpreted during the day. Additional sessions will cover goal setting, personal branding, online job searches, networking strategies, writing your resume and cover letter, reading job descriptions, and interview strategies. A recruiting panel will join us during the lunch hour. Cost for the seminar is $50 and includes assessment fees, a professional photograph, lunch, snacks, and all seminar materials.
